Building a Coaching Culture for one of the world’s most admired FMCG COMPANY

A world leader in FMCG sector serving every day needs of the people, with turnover crossed INR 50,000 Crore mark in 2022.

CONTEXT

The organization was facing slugging growth at a point, where they were keen on preparing their leaders for future growth and wanted to build greater capabilities within their leadership team.

OUR INTERVENTION

• SOIL partnered with this organization to build capability in coaching skills in the CEO & his reportees, covering more than 200 leaders.
• SOIL conducted various appreciative inquiry meetings with the HR and Business leaders to understand the context and need. Though which collective stories of role model leaders were identified.
• A “Train the Trainer” program and an e-learning module were designed taking the output of discovery data analysis.
• The “Train the Trainer” program was conducted in which the collective stories of leaders were used as real-time case studies which could eventually help to identify and develop “master coaches” in the system.
• The e-learning modules were provided to enable continuous learning process, fireside chats were deployed to enable them to leverage the coaching culture.

IMPACT CREATED

• The new coaching capability of leaders enabled high performance visible in the next few years. The person who led the project internally then, is now one of the strongest proponents of sustaining the coaching culture in the company, the Global Head of HR.
• Many of the master coaches from the organization are now heads of organizations in different parts of the world and remember this as a very significant journey of their life.
