A US based $15.9 billion multinational group with various Sectors/Businesses operating in 18 key industries.


‘One Size Fit All’ people policies were not yielding desired results in the large diversified organization, due to which there was very less alignment between the business and human resource practices, as well as the organization lacked convergence of any sectoral decisions at the group level.

Our Intervention

  • SOIL did an In-depth diagnostic of the current company HR structures, processes and policies as it existed through Appreciative Inquiry meetings, walk-through to understand the organization strengths and mapped the various dimensions of the strategy framework and, examined the competitive scenario with respect to HR governance.
  • Design team meetings were held to create the strategic framework for Group HR based on the discovery analysis.
  • A retreat/workshop was conducted, aimed at co- creation of Group HR strategy in alignment with Business objectives along with creation of a roadmap for strategy implementation.
  • Articulation of a long-term Group HR strategy & key deliverables for the group company
  • Identification of the key milestones & metrics which would be used to measure the progress of the strategy in the next 5 years
  • Developed a HR Governance Model framework for Group HR and Sector/Business HR
  • A detailed report containing the HR Charter & Roadmap


After the above intervention, the group had converged to Group HR strategy aligned with the Group’s vision and strategic objectives along with Sector HR Strategy and developed an HR Governance model based on global best & next practices.
